Hello everyone, I have a bayliner 288 with an optimizer 6500 SC(MD250SC) engine from Marine Diesel, Its land-based counterparts are the chevy 6.5 v8 and some kind of hummer engine, in general, the problem is, the engine stopped working correctly, decided to overhaul, everything rested on spare parts like a mininum for its compressor (it has the article md7204 on it, but does not show anything), whether from the lysholm company, in general, who can tell you where to find exactly marine spare parts for this engine and its compressor. I wrote to PTT, lysholm, WHIPPLE. but I didn't get an answer. There is a manual, but it is impossible to find anything by articles. I immediately apologize for the English. Thank you in advance!

Yes, it looks like mine, but here's how to find it by compressor and marine alterations, that is, exhaust and so on. I have several colleagues in the states, I think they will be able to send. I just don't want to make a mistake in collecting spare parts, since, for example, the oil pressure sensor is from Volvo Penta. Even the air filter costs zero resistance, but it is nowhere to be found, although there is an article in the manual, but not an oem.

Oil pressure sensors are universal. You can buy from different brands. VDO is the only one different, and they are easy to find. I don't know what you mean "the air filter cost zero resistance". It looks like a generic paper type. What brand compressor/supercharger do you have? They are not made by GM.

I figured out the sensor, the filter is conical, I'm sorry if I called it wrong, I'm attaching a photo. And the compressor seems to be from lysholm, or else this is its principle of operation. There is a number on it (md7204), I may be mistaken, I will arrive in an hour and a half, I will tell you for sure, but it does not give anything out
    I found a sensor , like this

That is a low oil pressure switch. It will close the contact below 6 PSI which is really low for a diesel. You would be better with one that closes at least at 20PSI. They are programmable switches that let you set the low pressure.

Thank you very much, I will study this site now. Listen, how do the devices understand how much rpm, the manual says a gray wire, this wire goes to the generator and to the crankshaft sensor, please explain

The rpm is calculated from the AC frequency which changes with RPM. To work properly you need to have the correct diameter pulleys.

Does that match a similar part and has rubber inserts in between?
