colinhilton: Static Flotation 6' Flat-Cat

Problem being diagnosed as surplus buoyancy from rearward extension of the hydroskis, removal appears to have corrected the resting trim. With the props removed but motors retained for ballast, top to bottom frames show a 10g, 700g, 2500g and 5000g load representing zero batteries, 2 x 3900 mAh, 1 x 22,000 mAh and 2 x 22,000 mAh. Accordingly each motor will be powered for testing by a 3,900 mAh pack that is expected to provide 5-6 minutes of operation at 80% throttle. This configuration provides for level trim and a draft of around 4" so that some 3" of propeller disc pierces the waterline at idle. The centre-deck will likely be lowered in the light of the test in order to improve structural integrity.
